Detection of hydrogen sulfide above Neptune’s clouds
Icarus · Spectroscopic detection of H2S in Neptune’s upper atmosphere.
Neptune par land karna impossible hai. Kyonki wahan par koi solid surface hi nahi hai.
What this reel claims
Neptune has no solid surface.
Its winds are the strongest measured in the solar system.
Hydrogen sulfide has been detected above Neptune’s clouds.
Neptune emits substantially more energy than it receives from the Sun.
Evidence behind the story
Icarus · Spectroscopic detection of H2S in Neptune’s upper atmosphere.
NASA · No solid surface; principal rings and arcs; strongest planetary winds.
What didn’t fit
Neptune tests how quickly a hypothesis becomes internet “fact.” Its winds, lack of a solid surface and strong internal heat flux are supported. Hydrogen sulfide has spectroscopic evidence too, though saying a human would smell the planet ignores an atmosphere no unprotected person could sample. The diamond-ocean story is model-dependent, not observed geography. Neptune remains extraordinary without promoting imagery into fact.
